Charter Standard - Community Football Club

Over the last 18 months Uppermill Football Club has seen expansion and development take place at junior boys and girls levels through to the senior teams. To become an FA Community Club is the ultimate goal for thousands of clubs at grassroots level and Uppermill Football Club has now achieved this – In the whole of Greater Manchester County FA and West Riding County FA, Uppermill Football Club is one of only 24 amateur clubs to receive this award, and one of only 245 clubs nationwide.
With 40 fully qualified coaches currently working on in house and local community football projects, the club is in a strong position to make further progress. Some of these coaches are moving on to FA Level 2.
Child Protection
Every
child and young person who plays football should be able to participate in
an enjoyable and safe environment and be protected from abuse. This is the
responsibility of every adult involved in football.
We recognise, however, that child abuse is also a very emotive and difficult
subject. It is important to understand the feelings involved but not to
allow them to interfere with our judgement about any action to be taken.
