A late pitch inspection declared the pitch just about playable although it was apparent it was going to cut up and be a heavy pitch.

Uppermill set of in fine form and piled the pressure on Old Almondburians. After some good play overlapping full back Walton sent in a quality cross from the right which was met with a superb header into the bottom corner from centre forward Ventress on 12 mins giving the keeper no chance.

Uppermill continued to dominate play and went close on numerous occasions but to be fair Old Almonburians defended well and worked hard to keep Uppermill from going further in front.

Uppermill won a free kick just outside the left side of the penalty area. Joel Longmore stepped up and got it up and over the wall and into the top corner of the net leaving the keeper stranded. A quality free kick from the young mindfielder.

Half Time – Uppermill 2 v 0 Old Almondburians

The second have carried on in much the same way as the forst, Uppermill dominating their visitors from the West Yorkshire Old Boys League but not capitalizing on the amount of possession they had.

Uppermill made it three nil with a fine lob from Ventress on 60 mins.

Substitution 65 mins Moores for Ventress

Uppermill were in total control of this game and it gave the management team at Uppermill the opportunity to get Wilkinson, recently recovered from injury on for Jacobs and Jackson on for Ollerenshaw. Uppermill sealed the game with a fourth goal, a neat finish from Greenwood.
