3rd Xl 10 v 0 Waterloo Res

The third team started the season with a comfortable win against a poor waterloo side.
Uppermill scored 3 inside ten minutes, all from the impressive Goodge. Then Ward got his first of the day, Will linney scored on his debut, before Thorp made it 6 by halftime.
Uppermill made 3 changes at half time and this seemed to upset the teams rhythem, as they failed to add to the tally with some wayward shooting and poor decision making.
Then they upped there game and scored through Ward before Potts converted a penalty. Ward then added 2 more late on to make it 10.
An easy start to the season saw the boys walk away with the points. For half an hour the football played was outstanding, but in the second half we fell into the trap of coming down to the opposition level.
Man of the match went to Pete Ward, for his 4 goals and passing. Will and Josh Linney were close behind with great performances. Also mentions to Winterbottom and Geech who volunteered to come off at half time so everyone could have a good run out (great team spirit).
