Girls Under 15's
Battered but not Bad
Uppermill 0 - 8 Heyside
Some of the players were tired at the start of the match and this gave a strong Heyside team a better start than usual. There was some good football by both sides but Heyside took the lead. By half time Uppermill were fighting back and the second half startted with only a 2-0 deficit. a serious injury to Kate straight after the kick off meant, with no subs, Uppermill were down to 6 players. They did brilliantly to keep the scoreline out of double figures against the League leaders.

Uppermill Upset by Second Half Slump
Saturday 13th Oct
Uppermill 0 - 4 Middleton Girls
A second minute goal by Middleton would have previously unsettled Uppermill but we have made a strong start to the season and immediately fought back. It remained at 1-0 till half time which was a credit to Uppermill against the top of the table team.
Second half injuries and substitutions allowed Middleton to get 3 late goals. Uppermill had had many chances to even the score but this week, we were unasble to capitalise on them.
It felt more that we had given the game away than been beaten. The girls fought hard and deserved more from the match.
