Uppermill FC star once again at the Oldham Sports Awards
Uppermill FC were once again comended by the panel of judges in this years borough awards. UFC with no less than 7 nominees for awards including the club itself. A very special mention to our very own Tony Gothard who stole the show for Uppermill winning 'Volunteer of the Year award', UFC retaining the award which was won by Simon Tait last Year.
Uppermill FC host Festival Success at Sadleworth Show
More than 300 people endured a windy Churchill Playing fields at the Saddleworth Show. 12 teams from various primary schools from the borough participated in the fair paly tournament encouraged by the FA initiative RESPECT campaign. A great thank you to everybody involved from UFC aswell as all players parents and school co-ordinators. Please see below a couple of pics from the event....
Uppermill Rockettes star in UK's largest Mini Soccer Festival
Uppermill FC Rockettes U12's won the coveted fair play trophy at this years Salford Mini Soccer Festival organised by Manchester County FA, Uppermill Fielded 4 other teams throughout a fantastic weekend of football not to mention the tropical weather. Click below to see some pics from the weekend.
Uppermill 3XI Win Hoyle Cup in dramatic style
Uppermills 3rd string enjoyed cup success beating Bay Athletic at the Galpharm Stadium home of Huddersfield FC/Giants. The team lead by skipper Chris Squibbs and managed by Keith Prior and John Partington won the game on a penalty shootout below the teams line up in preperation for the big game.
Uppermill complete The Italian Job at PFA Awards
Uppermill FC had the honorable task of attending the 35th Annual PFA Awards Dinner 2008 at the Grosevenor Hotel, London. UFC invited due to thier strong links within the PFA were represented by Matt Poulter and Simon Tait, the two rubbed shoulders with footballs top stars past and present including a Mr Capello who we did ask (in ST's best Italian) to join the coaching staff at UFC he told us he would definately call US!!!!. Uppermill FC's Simon Tait wins regional award
Youth Development manager Simon has been awarded 'Volunteer of the Year' at this years Greater Manchester Sports Awards - Simon who has been with the club for almost 25 years as player, coach and administrator won the Oldham volunteer of the year award and made it through to the regional awards beating off competition from Wigan, Bolton, Trafford, Salford, Stockport and Manchester. A magnificent achievement by Simon. Here he is recieving his award at the presentation
Uppermill FC Pay Tribute to Ronnie Wilde
Uppermill would like to pay tribute to Ronnie Wilde who sadly passed away on the 2nd December 2007. Our thoughts are with Ronnie Snr, Lilian and his family. Ronnie played for and managed teams at Uppermill for many years and later on with Diggle FC.

Uppermill FC inspire 'historic' win for Man Utd in Europe
Lucky winners from Uppermill FC were given the chance to have free reign at the 'Theatre of Dreams' and fly the Euro Champions League flag at Man United's 7-1 demolition of Roma. Winning a competition from the Key 103 Radio ten children were picked at random to go to the game at Old Trafford and represent UFC in front of over 76,00 people..... here are a few pics
Uppermill Voted 'Club of the Year' 2006 at the Sport in Oldham Awards
Uppermill have been awarded the prestigious title of 'Club of the Year 2006' by Oldham Sports development. The committee would like to thank all coaches, volunteers and UFC Development Team for all their hard work over the past year that has led to the award.
